Meet Heather!

Meet Heather!

If you had asked me three months ago if I ever thought I'd own a boutique this year I would have laughed!

Hi! My name is Heather Rozar-Abney and I bought Emerson Kate Boutique from Chelsea.

I met Chelsea in 2022 when I started working for her other business, The Social's Business (www.thesocialsbusiness.com ). Imagine my surprise when, after asking for her mentorship in starting my own boutique, Chelsea offered to sell me Emerson Kate Boutique! My grandparents were from Murfreesboro, and I was so excited to see where EK was based out of! I took it as a sign! It all happened so quickly that by the time I got back from Tennessee, I had to rush to finish setting everything up. Chelsea is still very involved with EK as I learn the ropes, and for that I am extremely grateful!

About me:

I'm a 31-year-old Mama of two boys, Brayden (13) and Elim (1), and have been married to my husband, Bill, for over a decade now. I'm originally from Oconee County South Carolina, and moved to Mississippi with my parents. I have degrees in Psychology and Education. I'm a former Special Ed teacher, but that wasn't for me! I have several chronic health issues that were worsening from the stress of the job, and I knew my heart wasn't in it anymore.

While I intend on keeping Emerson Kate Boutique the wonderful shopping experience that you've always known, I do have some personal goals that I'd like to incorporate. Mainly I want to expand our Plus Size line. My goal is if I offer it in S-L, I will have an identical or extremely close option for sizes 1X+. There are a few other things, but I'll talk about them in later posts!

I'm so looking forward to getting to know all of you, and y'all getting to know me, my family, and my crazy life!
